Bonfire Crafts For Kids

This bonfire night why not keep your little ones busy with some fabulous BONFIRE NIGHT CRAFTS that will get them feeling arty. These simple ideas are inexpensive but will ensure that your children are kept entertained long before and after the fireworks have ended. Make sure you stock up on any stationary, paper and glue and chocolate beforehand so they can pick and choose whatever crafts they wish to do.

  1. Bonfire Collage

This is one of the simplest craft ideas as they can be created using any old bits and bobs that you have lying around the house or why not incorporate a little treasure hunt into your evening where the kids can collect items such as leaves, acorns, or scraps of paper to use to create their collage. They can create anything they like such as a bonfire picture, a firework display, trees or an autumn landscape using all the bits and pieces that they collect.

  1. Catherine Wheels

This craft is perfect for a house party as you are sure to have a million paper plates and straws lying around after your hot dogs. Get the children to decorate the paper plates with any design and medium they wish such as paint, pens, glitter or collage and then attach some straws, ribbons or tissue streamers around the edge of the plate to create a colourful Catherine wheel that they can display in the garden (if it is dry).

  1. Firework Pen Toppers

This is such an easy and inexpensive craft idea and will be perfect for your little ones to create and then take to school to show their friends. First take some glittery pipe cleaners in as bright and bold colours as you can find and arrange them around the end of a pen or pencil with the ends shooting out like a firework bursting. Then glue some small sequined stars to the tip of each pipe cleaner for a finishing touch.

  1. Chocolate Sparklers

There’s sure to be endless amounts of sweets and chocolate in your house after Halloween and bonfire night so why not put them to good use by creating some chocolate sparklers that will get your children involved in the kitchen and allow them to make some yummy treats that they can nibble when they are done. This idea is so simple and fun, take some chocolate fingers and dip the ends in white chocolate. While the chocolate is still wet dip the end into some bright coloured sprinkles or some edible glitter and put aside to set.
