Colour Trend – Pomegranate

This month we are seeing red with Benjamin Moore’s fabulous and rich POMEGRANATE colour tone. This gorgeous red tone is influenced by the juicy seeds of the pomegranate fruit and is a versatile colour that can be used in both modern and traditional home interiors. This colour can be used to create drama as a main feature colour or as an accent tone to provide a pop of colour within the room.

Colour Palette
For a clean and simple interior look, why not team pomegranate red with crisp white to give a fresh and classic style in your chosen interior space. For a more masculine feel then add accents of deep black or grey that will provide a sleek and refined finish within your home.  A summertime look can be achieved by combining pomegranate with dusky blue, pastel pink and mint for a botanical feel that is bright and uplifting. This fruity tone also looks great with juicy hues such as peach, lemon and purple for a pop of tropical vibrancy.

Cushions

Classic pomegranate and monochrome cushions will look great in a variety of prints and patterns from classic baroque and retro geometric to simple stripes that create a focal point on a bed or sitting area. You could also opt for an ‘on trend’ ombre design by showcasing an array of cushions ranging from deep pomegranate through raspberry and pastel pink to create visual texture along a large sofa area. For a more traditional and feminine design, select floral and garden-inspired cushions in pomegranate and pastel hues.

Upholstery

Deep and richly coloured upholstery has long been a popular choice for creating a focal point within an interior space. For a classic look select a pomegranate coloured velvet or satin fabric and upholster a classic carved armchair for a striking and inviting impact. Team with deep mahogany, cosy oak or gold-painted frame for added opulence. For a cosy yet colourful farmhouse feel then upholstery some classic oak furniture chairs with a pomegranate and white striped or floral fabric for a pop of pattern that is elegant and refined.

Accessories
For a simple and clean finish in your chosen room, add a selection of white ceramic accessories to your pomegranate painted exterior for a fresh and illuminating ambience. Silver accessories will add some glistening glamour to your interior space as well as modern mirrored accessories such as jewellery boxes and photo frames that will look fabulous showcased on a dressing table area. For a masculine finish then select black accessories that will create a contrasting focal point within your chosen room.

Furniture

Cream or white furniture will create a fresh and cosy feel in your chosen interior space and are perfect for creating a sense of space in smaller rooms of the home. For a sleek and modern look then opt for white or black high gloss furniture that is sure to create a stylish finish in contemporary home interiors. Natural oak furniture will add a homely feel against the rich pomegranate red backdrop and can be used to create a cosy ambience that works particularly well in the living room and dining room interiors.
