Colour Trend – Oregano

Green seems to be one of the most popular colour choices for 2017 due to its versatile and stylish appeal. OREGANO is a soft and muted green tone that will create a refined style in modern, classic or retro home interiors. This colour choice works wonderfully with a variety of neutral and rich colours to give a designer finish to your home.

Colour Palettes
Oregano looks wonderful with a variety of grey hues such as dove grey, silver, charcoal and pewter or rich chocolate and mocha to give a sophisticated and masculine finish within your chosen room. For a more bright and illuminating interior then team oregano with crisp white and blue to create a fresh and uplifting feel within the home. Pastel and garden hues such as soft rose, lavender and sage can be partnered with oregano to create a light botanical look that is soft and feminine.

Cushions
Plain oregano coloured cushions will look fabulous on a cosy cream sofa for a simple and minimal look that is perfect for those who shy away from prints and patterns.  Alternatively opt for some elegant floral print designs in oregano and pastel hues that will compliment any bedroom or living room interior. Moroccan style cushions will look amazing in an oregano, turquoise and white colour scheme and will create visual detail against a plain upholstered sofa or co-ordinating bed set.  For a more masculine design then opt for simple stripes, or geometric patterns in oregano, white and chocolate for a bold and eye-catching finish.

Upholstery
Coloured upholstery is a great way of introducing colour to a neutral space and can be used to create a focal point within the room.  An ornately carved, cream or white painted armchair will look wonderful upholstered with an oregano coloured linen or satin fabric for a refined chateau style design. For a cottage style appeal, upholster a classic sofa in an oregano floral fabric that will bring a sense of the outdoors, indoors.  Oregano and white striped fabric will look great on a set of chunky rustic oak dining chairs for a farmhouse design that is cosy and colourful.

Accessories
Simple white ceramic accessories such as vases, candle holders and ornaments will create fresh feel against the soft green backdrop and will look great display in zoned areas around the room. For a more masculine feel then opt for black accessories like photo frames and mirrors that will create a visual contrast displayed against an oregano coloured feature wall. If you prefer a more natural look then select wooden ornaments and accessories that will create a cosy, bohemian style feel in your chosen room.

Furniture
Natural oak furniture is a great choice to compliment an oregano colour scheme as the warm and classic tones will create a homely feel in any room of the home. Smaller home interiors may benefit from a selection of white painted furniture that will create a sense of space and light within the room. Walnut furniture will also compliment the natural oregano backdrop and is sure to provide a rich and textural focal point in your interior space.
