The bar stools can discretely be pushed inside the back of the kitchen island when not in use. The front of the kitchen island has a two door cupboard with sliding doors that have flush inset pewter metal handles. The inside of this cupboard has a fixed position central shelf that is full length across the cupboard space. This cupboard provides plenty of practical space to store pots and pans.
