Cheshire Weathered Limed Oak Square Flip Top Dining Table – Extending 90 to 180cm

This Cheshire Weathered Limed Oak square flip-top dining table is the perfect solution for small dining spaces when there is only the normal requirement for seating up to 4 people at the table. But at occasional times you need seat more at your table you can simply double the size of the table top by folding the top over and this then makes space for 6 or even 8 people for occasional use.

To extend this table simply slide the table top (when closed) halfway along the base frame and then carefully fold it out onto the base frame ensuring the folded out half of the table top has the base frame to rest on when laid flat. Never try to extend this table without first sliding the top halfway along the base frame.

The oak has a hand applied weathered limed oak finish that really brings out the natural beauty in the oak grain. The limed oak finish oozes character and is achieved by hand rubbing white wax into the oak grain and it is then finished with a protective matt lacquered finish that is hardwearing and maintenance free.

The dining table is skilfully hand made with traditional time honoured construction methods in a timeless design that fits into both modern and traditional home décor settings. The top is 25mm thick and doubles up to make a 50mm thick top when closed. The table top frame and 80mm thick legs are made using high quality North American solid oak and the top panels features thick oak veneered for increased stability over time. The table has been made using traditional time honoured construction methods and will no doubt last for generations to come.

Please note that each piece of Cheshire Weathered Limed Oak is unique in colour and finish. Like a finger print the oak wood grain is unique and not one piece is the same. Solid oak varies in grain depth, pattern and colour and therefore you will see natural differences in colour within each item of furniture and within the solid oak used. The limed oak finish is designed to accentuate the oak grain and therefore items with deeper grain structures will appear whiter in appearance compared to pieces with shallower oak grain structures. This is because the deeper oak grains will hold more of the white wax that is hand rubbed into it to get the desired weathered limed oak effect. This is perfectly normal and the furniture is designed this way and each item oozes individual character.

This table is delivered in two boxes for easy access into your home and requires very minor assembly (i.e. the legs need bolting to the underside of the oak top frame, this is very quick and easy to do).
