Saturated Colour

While clean and neutral home interiors create light and space within our home it is sometimes nice to inject an area of bold and eye-catching colour into our interior spaces. These distinct areas of colour create a lifting character within the room and provide a sense of cheerfulness within your chosen spaces. This season is all about SATURATED COLOUR that can be focused on a specific area of the room or scattered around each and every part of your interior design to create a rich and sumptuous colour scheme within your chosen room.

Walls are the obvious choice for areas of saturated colour as they can be accentuated with paint or wallpaper to create an area of eye-catching detail. If you love period or historic colours then opt for deep tones such as red, purple and midnight blue that will create opulent luxury within your chosen space. This look can also be achieved with a dark and rich coloured baroque style wallpaper with gold or silver elements for added luxury. If a modern colour scheme is to your taste then why not opt for areas of primary or neon colours that can be used to accentuate a chimney breast area or alcove space and select some eye-catching geometric wallpapers in co-ordinating bold colours.

If you’re feeling particularly adventurous then why not opt for a colour saturation on your flooring with a colourful choice of carpet. Once again deep and rich black, navy, red and emerald green carpets will create an opulent stately finish within your room while feminine colours such as pink, coral and purple will look wonderful with a floral based wallpaper. A bright red or blue vintage carpet used across your living room, bedroom or dining room interior will inject life and soul into your room and can be co-ordinated with vintage accessories and lighting for a stylish interior finish. Your carpet can be complimented with matching coloured cushions, throws, bedding and rugs in bold statement colours that can be used to create areas of tonal colour within your chosen interior space.

Painted furniture is still one of the most popular interior trends for 2018 and is the perfect way to inject some saturated colour into your home. Use to create an eye-catching feature within your room. Black painted furniture is perfect for creating luxury and opulence particularly in bedroom interiors. Opt for classic French carved items and armoires in a soft matte black finish with crystal handles for a saturated and stylish finish. If you prefer a more bold and exotic Moroccan inspired interior design then choose Eastern inspired furniture items painted in rich colour tones such as emerald, fuchsia and turquoise that can be scattered around the room to create pops of colour and saturated pigmentation within your room. Team with bold coloured ceiling pendants, lamp shades and photo frames to really emphasise your chosen colour choice.
